LABOCUIR
Offered each edition through workshops, LABOCUIR showcases the traditions and know-how of the leather industry and allows visitors to discover the crafts of last-maker and shoemaker, cutting work and saddle stitching, the art of gilding on leather and the secret of leather care as well as schools forming to these various trades. In partnership with the Fédération Française de la Ganterie (French Glove Federation), the major French brands display their finest creations.
SHOP-WINDOWS
MESS AROUND pioneered new fashion trends across three "shop windows" areas that mirror the color codes and themes of the upcoming seasons, and highlight the key products of exhibitors' collections, while giving retailers decorating ideas and tips to present products in stores.
SUPPORT TO YOUNG DESIGNERS
The partnership PARIS CAPITAL OF CREATION / MESS AROUND gave the footwear prize to the young brand Jacques & Déméter, activist of "Made in France". Oxfords with heels for women, and derbies for men are hand assembled at Romans and all materials are from French tanneries.
WHO’S NEXT BLOG / SPARTOO COMPETITION
A must for all players in the profession in search of new ideas, the WHO'S NEXT BLOG area presented the four winners in the footwear category and put a spotlight on the collections of Terhi Pölkki (Finland), Naranu (Czech Republic), Kong Yiu Cheng (Netherlands), Neidy Boueth (France) and the children's collection of French designer Valerie Rougé, winner of last year's competition, and as such, re-invited.
The e-commerce website SPARTOO.COM partnered with WHO'S NEXT and MESS AROUND to develop a mini-collection with one of the winners. The clean lines, soft colors, and basic models mixing sobriety and creativity of Terhi Pölkki’s collection won the votes of SPARTOO’s customers.
